The top priority has to be to take time out to recharge your batteries.

In terms of losing your job it’s hard to think of a more high profile example than that of David Moyes at Manchester United.

Famously picked as “the chosen one” by Sir Alex Ferguson, it seemed he had the world on his side before a string of poor results and dissent among players and fans alike brought a swift end to his management career at Old Trafford.

For Moyes – following in the footsteps of such an illustrious and famous figure as Sir Alex meant – had big shoes to fill…
