Chief Information Officer Pathways report 2024

Welcome to the first edition of Eton Bridge Partners’ Chief Information Officer (CIO) Pathways report- the latest in our Pathways series.

Over the past three years, our reports have covered the evolution of CFOs, CEOs, and Chief People Officers, published respectively by our specialist practices in these areas.

We’re pleased to now share insight into the world of CIOs, a position which is in the spotlight more than ever before, and a market that is incredibly dynamic. This report includes analysis of over 200 UK CIO appointments across a range of companies from the 24 month period between 2022 and 2023.

We believe there are two key audiences for whom the findings of this report will be of particular interest:

1/. Aspiring Chief Information Officers
2/. Companies looking to hire a Chief Information Officer, or to develop a pipeline of succession in the longer term

Eton Bridge Partners has collaborated with the leading global data company BoardEx, who specialise in relationship mapping and intelligence, to analyse some core data on the profile of CIOs and their career pathway.
