We combine continuous training with a clear approach to help eliminate bias. Our consultants all understand the difference between positive action and positive discrimination and can advise clients on measures that will increase representation through recruitment.
Identifying diverse talent
> Source from a broad range of platforms to engage diverse talent not represented on traditional networking sites. [LinkedIn; BoardEx; Bluesteps; Facebook; Twitter; Google]
> Network extensively and seek referrals from D&I thought leaders who champion diverse talent.
> Take a highly customised approach in engaging each individual
Attracting diverse talent
> Use inclusive language, imagery and content in all our communication.
> Advise our clients to disclose the full benefits package for each role in job descriptions. Showcasing full benefit details (childcare packages, flexible working etc.), attracts more diverse talent.
> Offer flexibility for candidates and clients on call timings and platforms.
> Guarantee interviews for individuals from under-represented groups.
Eliminating bias
> At least two members of the Eton Bridge Team assess shortlisted candidates separately to increase objectivity.
> Remove candidate identifying criteria from Client Update Reports.
> Provide anonymised CVs – remove any information that could create bias –eg graduation date, university name, location
> Utilise third party psychometric & other assessments where appropriate.
> Take a breadth of references on Candidates: a line Manager, a peer and a direct report.
